General K had been left aboard the submarine for so long with no rescue in sight that he could not help wondering whether they had already abandoned him.

Everyone must be laughing behind his back now, mocking how foolish this general had been.

Scratching at his head in irritation, he decided that tonight he would go and question someone.

“You’re insane!”

Drawing a sharp breath, General K could hardly accept the fall from power.

Clenching his fists, he said grimly, “Zheng Xiaoda! I personally chose you as talent. Why would you—”

“Talent?”

“I think you mean a fool! A fool you only used to kill people for your amusement! When disaster struck, who was the first to run?”

General K had nothing to say in reply, but Chen Yi took the initiative before he could recover.

“They’re right. Since you chose betrayal, you’re in no position to say anything.”

“What do you know!”

General K was furious, his fists still tightly clenched.

“My betrayal was forced. I had no other choice!”

“Heh.”

With another cold laugh, everyone on the ship found General K’s words absurd beyond measure.

Chen Yi slowly stepped forward then, looking down at General K with utter coldness.

He sneered outright at everything this man had done.

“I won’t accept this!”

Once again, General K’s gaze managed to offend everyone there.

“What did you give?”

Zheng Xiaoda’s expression turned icy, and he found everything about this man laughable.

General K was also stunned at this point. “As a slave, you dare to resist?”

Little Zhang shook his head and let out a mocking laugh, his eyes turning sly.

The sight made General K’s heart jolt in alarm.

Little Zhang spread his hands, looking innocent.

“Nothing much. I just changed the program a little. Now everyone knows that you, General K, betrayed the organization and handed over the warship.”

Although the Shadow Organization had indeed killed without mercy, it had no intention of reclaiming things that had already been given away. The reason no one had come to negotiate with K lately was simply that the higher-ups had come to despise him to the core.

General K ground his teeth.

“You sold me out!”

“Same to you!”

Little Zhang snorted indifferently.

“The moment you chose to hurt me and the friends around me, you should have known this would be how it ended!”
