Chapter 110: Yan the Invincible (2)
"Young Master Yan!" Mo Yuxi's voice suddenly came from outside the tent.
Yang Zhijiu’s expression shifted, and he immediately said, "In that case, I shall take my leave!"
"Hmm," Yan Chuan nodded.
Yang Zhijiu hurried out just as Mo Yuxi, accompanied by Qinglong and the others, stepped inside. Seeing Yang Zhijiu departing, Mo Yuxi frowned slightly. She glanced at Yan Chuan but chose not to ask.
"You've returned?" Yan Chuan looked at Qinglong and his companions.
"Yes, we have basically scouted everything out. However, whether there are any experts hiding in the shadows, that remains unclear," Qinglong said with a smile.
"As for uniting the various heroes, that matter can be left to Master Wen Ruo," Yan Chuan laughed.
"Naturally, I would not dare to trouble Young Master Yan with such a task. However, on my way back, I saw someone claiming to be from the Great Yan Kingdom," Qinglong stated with certainty.
"Oh? People from the Yan Kingdom?" Yan Chuan was slightly surprised.
"It should be them. Judging by his demeanor, he seems to hold a high status in your Yan Kingdom. He is accompanied by three men at the peak of the Force Realm and is currently in a standoff with the Grand Offering of the Great Zheng Kingdom!" Qinglong nodded.
"The Grand Offering of Zheng? Liu Gang? He is still alive?" Yan Chuan’s expression flickered.
Outside the protective barrier of the Heavenly Lake, there was a wide valley. Nearly a hundred people were gathered around the perimeter of the valley. Judging by their postures, they were clearly not part of the same group; they were more like onlookers.
The crowd of a hundred watched, their eyes fixed on a tense confrontation in the center.
One side consisted of two men, one of whom was indeed Liu Gang, the Grand Offering of Zheng. Although his demonic snake had been consumed by Yan Chuan, he had arrived here nonetheless.
Liu Gang bowed with extreme respect toward a middle-aged man dressed in magnificent, wide robes. The man had a broad face, and his eyes radiated an air of wild, overbearing power.
Opposite them stood a youth of noble bearing, carrying a long purple sword on his back. Behind him stood three elderly men, all glaring at the pair across from them.
Liu Gang addressed the middle-aged man beside him respectfully, "King Muye, that is the Crown Prince of Yan."
The middle-aged man looked at Liu Gang and offered a faint smile. "Liu Gang, what are you still worried about? Since I have agreed to take you as my disciple, I naturally accept you as such. The Zheng royal family are my descendants; since you are devoted to the Zheng Kingdom, I will naturally assist you."
"Yes, thank you, Master!" Liu Gang said excitedly.
"Years ago, Yan Tao and I reached an agreement: in matters between our two mortal kingdoms, neither of us would interfere. Yan Tao is dead, but I cannot break my word. I will not intervene, but as for you, how you choose to act is your own business," King Muye said indifferently.
"Yes! This disciple understands what must be done," Liu Gang replied, grasping the implication.
"Hmm." King Muye nodded.
Liu Gang looked once more at the four people opposite him, especially the youth in the lead. The youth was about seventeen or eighteen years old, similar in age to Yan Chuan, though his features were more refined, and his brow radiated a strong, heroic spirit.
"Yan Wudi, does your previous word still hold?" Liu Gang asked with a smile.
The Crown Prince of Yan, Yan Wudi, nodded. "I can naturally represent my father and the Great Yan. But what about you? You are merely an Offering of the Zheng Kingdom!"
"My master, King Muye of Zheng, will serve as witness. I can certainly represent the Great Zheng!" Liu Gang shouted.
Yan Wudi looked toward King Muye.
"That is correct," King Muye said with a smile and a nod.
Seeing King Muye confirm this, Yan Wudi took a deep breath. "Very well. In that case, let us have our contest. I shall wager six cities in the southern border of my Yan Kingdom against six cities in the northern border of your Zheng Kingdom! One battle shall decide the outcome!"
"Agreed!" Liu Gang said, satisfied.
