“Whoosh!”
Suddenly, a streak of white light shot from afar, swiftly reaching the valley.
“Hm?” A voice of puzzlement emerged from the white light.
In that moment of doubt, the white light instantly darted toward Ding Wugu.
“Mr. Wenruo, save me, save me!” Ding Wugu cried out in ecstatic desperation.
“Azure Dragon!” Mo Yuxi’s eyes chilled as she called out.
“Whoosh!”
The Azure Dragon instantly soared into the sky, blocking the white light in an instant.
The white light was none other than Mr. Wenruo, clad in white.
“Azure Dragon, what are you doing? Why stand by and watch him die?” Mr. Wenruo frowned.
“Mr. Wenruo, I respect you as a man, but for now, please do not intervene!” Azure Dragon shook his head.
“Mr. Wenruo, save me quickly, save me!” Ding Wugu weakly pleaded.
Mr. Wenruo furrowed his brow and glanced toward Mo Yuxi’s direction.
“Mr. Wenruo, please do not interfere!” Mo Yuxi shook her head.
“Holy Maiden, it’s impossible. I have already located the Myriad Marvelous Demon Lotus, but it cannot be retrieved without a Feng Shui master!” Mr. Wenruo shook his head.
“You found the Myriad Marvelous Demon Lotus?” Mo Yuxi’s expression stirred.
“Yes, right over there. I have seen the Myriad Marvelous Demon Lotus, but it’s sealed within a large barrier, impossible to enter. A Feng Shui master should be able to help. Please, spare Ding Wugu for now!” Mr. Wenruo urged anxiously.
“Yes, yes, save me quickly! I can help you obtain the Myriad Marvelous Demon Lotus!” Ding Wugu seemed to clutch at a lifeline, pleading desperately.
“Whoosh!”
At that moment, a golden arrow suddenly pierced through the black mist and shot straight into Ding Wugu’s heart.
“Beep!”
The arrow penetrated through his heart, its tail trembling fiercely. Ding Wugu’s eyes bulged wide open.
“Bang!”
The surrounding black mist exploded and scattered.
“Hisssss!”
A swarm of venomous snakes immediately coiled around Ding Wugu.
Ding Wugu looked in the direction from which the arrow had been shot.

“You… you!” Ding Wugu, unwilling to die, pointed fiercely at the distant archer.
In the distance, the archer was Yan Chuan.
Yan Chuan drew his bow and stood coldly, having shot an arrow through the heart.
Originally, Yan Chuan had allowed the soldiers to slowly hunt down Ding Wugu, but seeing Mr. Wenruo arrive and knowing that any further delay would prevent Ding Wugu’s death, he had to act decisively.
Today was to establish authority, to reward loyalty, and to settle a deadly grudge—Ding Wugu must die!
The power of the Heavenly Dragon was infused into the arrow, a single shot to kill.
“You! Yan Chuan!” Mr. Wenruo’s expression shifted, a flash of anger in his eyes.
Yan Chuan returned the longbow to Huo Guang and looked up: “Most Feng Shui formations conceal the ‘Heavenly Pool.’ As you said, the Myriad Marvelous Demon Lotus must be sealed there. The Heavenly Pool is nothing; without Ding Wugu, I can lead you inside!”
“Just you?” Yan Zhijiu scoffed from afar.
“What’s the matter, Young Master Yang? You don’t believe me?” Yan Chuan smiled.
“I believe you!” Mo Yuxi immediately declared.
Looking at Yan Chuan again, Mo Yuxi felt, for some reason, a sudden surge of trust—a strong, inexplicable confidence. She sensed Yan Chuan would surely help her.
Mr. Wenruo glanced at Yan Chuan with complexity, then at Ding Wugu’s corpse being devoured by countless snakes in the distance. He could only nod with a light sigh.
“Then I must trouble Young Master Yan!” Mr. Wenruo smiled bitterly.
“As your guide, it’s my duty! Please forgive any offense, Mr. Wenruo.” Yan Chuan nodded.
“You’ve not offended me. As long as we obtain the Myriad Marvelous Demon Lotus, nothing else matters!” Mr. Wenruo said.
“I’ll do my best!” Yan Chuan nodded.
The three thousand soldiers watched as Ding Wugu was consumed by the snakes. Each let out a long breath and turned to look at Yan Chuan, their eyes shining with determination.

Having slain Ding Wugu, under Mr. Wenruo’s leadership, the army marched in a single direction.
Yan Chuan stood on Mr. Wenruo’s small boat, floating ahead in midair. Below followed the army led by Huo Guang.
“We’ve already found the Myriad Marvelous Demon Lotus; why bring along these three thousand burdens? They seriously slow us down,” Yang Zhijiu questioned.
“Young Master Yan, why not leave the Azure Dragon to guard your three thousand soldiers while we go retrieve the Myriad Marvelous Demon Lotus?” Mo Yuxi also advised.
Shaking his head, Yan Chuan laughed, “No need, I can protect them!”
“You? Just you?” Yang Zhijiu sneered.
“Just me!” Yan Chuan replied calmly.

“Alright then!” Mo Yuxi nodded, no longer insisting.
Mr. Wenruo kept appraising Yan Chuan, but even the discerning Mr. Wenruo found Yan Chuan inscrutable at this moment.
“Holy Maiden, what have you encountered these days? How did you escape that prison cage?” Mr. Wenruo asked curiously.
“We’re already out. Best not to mention that imprisonment matter,” Mo Yuxi shook her head.
Seeing Mo Yuxi unwilling to speak, Mr. Wenruo wisely refrained from pressing further.
“Mr. Wenruo, you said you found the location of the ‘Heavenly Pool.’ Are there others around?” Yan Chuan inquired.
“Yes, perhaps we really arrived late. Outside the Heavenly Pool, I glimpsed at least ten sects in passing,” Mr. Wenruo replied.
“So many already? Then we must hurry!” Yang Zhijiu urged anxiously.
Shaking his head, Mr. Wenruo said, “Young Master Yang, don’t worry. The barrier outside the Heavenly Pool isn’t so easy to break. Even at my full strength, I can’t move it an inch!”
“Just out of curiosity, Mr. Wenruo, how powerful is your full-strength strike?” Yan Chuan asked.
“I am of the Divine Realm,” Mr. Wenruo did not conceal.
“Qi Refinement to Divine, the Divine Realm?” Yan Chuan pondered somewhat.
“This Feng Shui formation is extremely mysterious and has existed for at least several thousand years. No one knows how the rules were set. Only those above the Void Realm are forbidden to enter; the highest allowed are Divine Realm cultivators. Those who dare to trespass are condemned by all under heaven!” Mo Yuxi explained.
“Those who dare to trespass are condemned by all under heaven? Only below Divine Realm may enter? How could such a strange rule exist?” Yan Chuan was puzzled.
“Not sure. Anyway, all the major powerful sects uphold this rule. Our Great Zhao Sacred Land is the same. Otherwise, Dao Lord Mao Ri would have come personally long ago!” Mo Yuxi shook her head.
“Miss Mo mentioned Mr. Wenruo is a scholarly man, yes?” Yan Chuan looked toward Mr. Wenruo.
Mr. Wenruo smiled wryly and shook his head: “I once swore never to reveal a single detail. Please forgive me.”
“If that’s so, then never mind!” Yan Chuan nodded understandingly.
“You actually know?” Mo Yuxi was surprised.
“Not just me. Dao Lord Mao Ri also knows; otherwise, he wouldn’t seek to obtain that Myriad Marvelous Demon Lotus. It’s just… sigh!” Mr. Wenruo sighed softly.
Mo Yuxi was about to ask more when—
“We have arrived!” Mr. Wenruo suddenly called out.
Everyone immediately turned their heads to look ahead.
The little boat stopped abruptly, and the three thousand soldiers halted suddenly as well.
