Feeling the constriction of the venomous snake, Qin Feng knew he had little time left. If he did not kill this giant serpent, he would surely perish.

"I will survive," he told himself, steeling his resolve.

"Come on, snake! Let's see who kills whom!" Intense battle fervor filled his eyes. Although his body was bound, he could still move his limbs. Gripping his military dagger, he launched a fierce assault.

The serpent turned its head, striking at him violently.

"Squelch!" With a swift strike of his blade, Qin Feng gouged out the creature's remaining eye.

The giant snake thrashed wildly. Only then did Qin Feng realize it was a python. Maddened by pain, the python coiled tighter and tighter. Qin Feng felt his body being crushed and his neck squeezed until he could barely breathe. He knew his time was running out; if he didn't finish it now, he would be crushed to death.

"Come on, you beast! Let's see who survives!" A sharp glint appeared in his eyes. He knew he had to unleash his full potential to survive.

Even though his body was pinned, his hands remained free.

*Crack!* He heard the faint sound of his own bones protesting under the pressure. If this continued, he would be pulverized.

"I cannot die here. I still have to go back to see Su Yun." A sharp light ignited in his eyes, fueled by an unyielding conviction. He erupted with a burst of desperate strength, hacking away at the serpent’s head. His dagger was sharp, and his force was immense; with a powerful swing, he sliced through more than half of the creature's skull.

The python struggled even more violently. Feeling himself on the verge of suffocation, Qin Feng hacked repeatedly, losing count of the blows until the head was finally severed. It fell to the ground with a thud.

"Finally, the head is gone," Qin Feng gasped. He felt as though his bones were shattered. Even without its head, the python’s body continued to thrash; such creatures possessed immense vitality.

Knowing the nature of snakes, he set his dagger aside and began to pry the coils apart. The python’s death throes were incredibly powerful, but he pushed with everything he had.

With great effort, he finally managed to create a gap. He took deep, ragged breaths, the fresh air filling his lungs and easing the agony in his ribs. Bit by bit, he forced the coils open, focusing all his remaining strength on the task.

Finally, he cast the massive, limp body aside. Part of it remained caught on the rocks at the cave entrance, while the rest stretched out toward the jungle beyond.

"I made it." He panted, staring at the carcass. He felt immense relief; one wrong move would have cost him his life. This cliffside was far too dangerous; he needed to be more cautious.

Suddenly, a chirping sound broke the silence. The two hatchlings were calling out. Qin Feng tensed again—why were they chirping? Was there another python? He stood ready, prepared for any threat.

A moment later, he saw the hatchlings looking toward the entrance with joy. Two large birds flew in, one after the other. It was a pair of giant eagles.

They carried fish in their beaks, but upon seeing the dead python, they dropped their catch and rushed to shield their young. The eagles exchanged looks and then turned their piercing, vigilant gazes toward Qin Feng.

After a tense moment, the eagles seemed to understand the situation. They realized Qin Feng had saved their young from the predator. Their eyes softened with gratitude, recognizing him as a benefactor.

Seeing that they were not attacking, Qin Feng relaxed. Having lived in the wilderness, he understood the expressions of animals. He smiled and said, "No need for thanks, my feathered friends. It was just a small matter."

To him, it had been a matter of survival, but the eagles seemed impressed. They looked at each other in surprise; they knew how terrifying that python was, and for a human to kill it showed remarkable strength.

"Brother Eagle, let's deal with this carcass," Qin Feng suggested, gesturing to the python.

The male eagle examined the body, then consulted its mate. It flew to the cave entrance and, using its powerful wings, dragged the serpent's remains deeper into the cave. Thankfully, the space was large enough to accommodate the massive frame.

The male eagle chirped at Qin Feng and gestured with its wing toward the location of the snake’s gallbladder.

"The snake gall? That’s a treasure. Go ahead and extract it, brother," Qin Feng said, knowing the medicinal value of the organ.
