Chapter 13: No Good Deed Goes Unpunished

"Son-in-law of the Su family, do you intend to come to her rescue?" Fan Wei looked at Chen Fan with a face full of disdain.

"The Fan family is truly audacious, daring to defile a woman inside the inn. If this matter spreads, it would bring great shame to Lord Fan Zeng. I doubt you could explain yourself when he investigates," Chen Fan said, employing his usual tactics.

However, Fan Wei, upon hearing Chen Fan’s words, did not panic or fear as he had earlier at the Su residence. Instead, a haughty smile spread across his face.

"Don't speak nonsense. When have I defiled a woman? It was this woman who seduced me upstairs. Everyone in the inn saw it just now," Fan Wei said confidently, relying on his perceived advantage.

"You’re lying! I only wanted to discuss something with you just now. When did I seduce you?" Su Wenqi immediately retorted.

"When a woman invites a man into her room, what else could it be but seduction? Everyone downstairs saw it clearly," Fan Wei said with a sly grin.

Su Wenqi’s face flushed even deeper upon hearing this.

Unable to contain himself any longer, Fan Wei pushed Su Wenqi onto the bed, his hand reaching to slip inside her clothes.

Tears of fear streamed down Su Wenqi’s face. If Fan Wei defiled her while Chen Fan watched, she would be utterly disgraced.

Suddenly, there was a thud.

Just as Fan Wei’s hand was about to go further, he felt a sharp pain in his neck, his vision darkened, and he lost consciousness. Chen Fan had knocked him out with a single palm strike.

Chen Fan pushed Fan Wei aside and looked down at Su Wenqi, who had her eyes closed and tears continuously flowing. Her clothing was already undone, her undergarments torn halfway off, revealing alluring skin beneath.

Su Wenqi’s enchanting face was already a lethal temptation to men, and now, in her disheveled state, Chen Fan couldn’t help but swallow hard, feeling a strange restlessness stir within him.

At that moment, Su Wenqi sensed something was amiss. Why had Fan Wei suddenly stopped moving?

Reluctantly, Chen Fan turned away.

Su Wenqi quickly adjusted her clothes.

"How dare you bully me! I’ll kick you to death," she exclaimed.

After putting on her clothes, Su Wenqi, still angry at Fan Wei lying unconscious nearby, kicked toward him.

Chen Fan watched Su Wenqi, resembling a little girl in that moment, and a faint smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.
