Liu Kaixin and Daoist Xuan, granted passage by Qilin, ascended the winding and rugged mountain path toward the summit of Luoxia Peak. The higher they climbed, the thinner the air became, and the surrounding scenery grew increasingly surreal. Mist weaved through the mountain peaks, while bizarre flowers and plants thrived on jagged cliffs, exuding faint, refreshing fragrances.

At last, they reached the summit. An ancient cave lay quietly concealed within the mountainside, its entrance shrouded in a faint purple glow. A mysterious power pulsed faintly from within. Liu Kaixin’s heart trembled; he sensed that the Demon God Token might very well be hidden inside this cave.

Just as they prepared to enter, a lively figure suddenly darted out from the cave, moving with incredible speed and stirring a breeze in her wake. Liu Kaixin and Daoist Xuan instinctively took a step back, adopting defensive stances. When they caught sight of her, both were momentarily stunned.

She was a woman clad in a flowing emerald green dress. Her skin was as white as snow, her eyes clear as a tranquil lake, shining with liveliness and curiosity. Golden hair cascaded like a waterfall down to her waist, and pointed ears peeked out from beneath, radiating an otherworldly aura—typical traits of the elven race.

“Who are you? Why have you come here?” the woman asked, her voice clear and melodious like a mountain spring.

Liu Kaixin bowed respectfully. “I am Liu Kaixin, and this is Daoist Xuan. We have come in search of the Demon God Token. May I ask who you are, and why you are here in the cave of Luoxia Peak?”

The woman blinked and replied, “My name is Holly, princess of the Elven race. This cave is an ancient sacred site of our kind. It is said to conceal a powerful treasure. I have come seeking a force that might save our people.”

Liu Kaixin and Daoist Xuan exchanged glances, both puzzled. The Elves had always lived secluded in forests, rarely interacting with outsiders. Now their princess appeared here, searching for a treasure to save her people. What could have transpired to bring her here?

Sensing their doubts, Holly sighed softly. “Recently, our forest has been ravaged by an evil force. Trees wither, flowers decay, and our people suffer from strange illnesses. We searched far and wide for a solution, and ancient texts hinted that this cave on Luoxia Peak might hold the key to breaking the curse.”

Liu Kaixin’s heart stirred. “Princess Holly, we seek the Demon God Token to halt the spread of an evil power. Perhaps our quests are connected. Let us enter the cave together and see if we can find a solution.”

Holly hesitated briefly, then nodded firmly. “Very well, we shall proceed together. But beware—the cave is laden with traps and fraught with danger. We must be cautious.”

---

The three stepped carefully into the cave, immediately enveloped by an ancient and mysterious aura. A faint purple light permeated the walls, etched with strange runes that flickered softly, as if narrating forgotten tales.

They moved slowly along the passage until they came upon a massive stone door. Carved into it was a colossal divine beast whose eyes glowed red, seemingly watching them intently.

Princess Holly approached and studied the carvings closely. After a moment, she said, “This is the ancient guardian beast of our Elven race. To open this door, one must find the correct method.”

Liu Kaixin and Daoist Xuan joined her, examining the patterns and runes. When no solution presented itself, Liu Kaixin recalled a top-tier fortune slip he had once drawn at a temple in Qingping Town. It spoke of “a noble’s aid and a timely opportunity.” Could Princess Holly be that noble? Was this predicament the opportunity foretold?

Turning to Holly, Liu Kaixin said, “Princess, with your profound knowledge of elven lore, perhaps you alone can unlock this door. We trust in you.”

Holly inhaled deeply, closed her eyes, and recalled the ancient legends and records of her people. Moments later, she opened her eyes, shining with confidence.

She reached out and gently touched the runes on the door, chanting softly. The symbols began to shimmer, their light growing brighter. Suddenly, with a thunderous rumble, the door slowly opened, releasing a surge of immense power.

The trio braced themselves, waiting for the energy to stabilize before stepping inside. Within was a vast stone chamber, at its center a pedestal holding a black-glowing token—the Demon God Token.

Before they could approach, shadows suddenly emerged along the chamber walls. They rapidly shaped into towering, grotesque monsters, their faces twisted with malevolence, radiating an evil aura.

“Be careful! These are the evil spirits guarding the Demon God Token!” Daoist Xuan shouted.

Liu Kaixin drew his long blade, his spiritual energy surging. He unleashed the “Blade of Opening,” its light flashing as he swung at the evil spirits. Princess Holly cast elven spells, firing beams of green light, engaging the spirits in fierce combat.

---

Daoist Xuan chanted Taoist incantations, supporting Liu Kaixin and Holly from the side. The evil spirits proved formidable—their attacks unpredictable and seemingly resistant to their spells.

Yet Liu Kaixin and Holly stood their ground, coordinating their efforts until they discerned the spirits’ weakness. Liu Kaixin summoned the power of “All Things Return to One,” channeling his full strength to strike at the leader of the spirits. Simultaneously, Holly unleashed her full power, a brilliant green light merging with Liu Kaixin’s blade, forming a cataclysmic force.

With a tremendous explosion, the leader was instantly vanquished, and the remaining spirits dissipated.

They exhaled deeply and approached the pedestal to claim the Demon God Token. As Liu Kaixin grasped it, an overwhelming power surged through him, and he sensed that the token concealed even deeper secrets.

Princess Holly gazed at the token, her eyes filled with uncertainty. “Can this Demon God Token truly save our Elven race?”

Liu Kaixin replied, “Perhaps it holds the key to the evil force corrupting your forest. Let us leave for now and study it carefully.”

Together, the three descended Luoxia Peak, the Demon God Token in their possession. As they made their way down, Liu Kaixin silently vowed to unravel the token’s mysteries, to prevent the evil’s eruption, to save all living beings, and to help the Elven race overcome their plight...
