Words on the Launch

Before I knew it, I have been writing this "Night Watchman" story for nearly two months, and it is finally time for the official launch.

During this period, I have been incredibly grateful for the support, the loyal readership, and the help with spotting typos. It is mostly due to my own laziness and poor eyesight that these errors slipped through. I ask for your patience and understanding.

Returning to the plot: I originally intended for the launch chapter to coincide with the awakening of the Sovereign, but the situation caught me off guard, leaving me in a bit of an awkward spot.

Anyway, back to the story.

This book features a single heroine and follows an invincible protagonist archetype. I have tried to keep the plot and characterizations as faithful to the original work as possible, though I have incorporated some of my own interpretations.

The section on the Luo Tian Dajiao tournament felt a bit padded; the truth is, there was only so much source material, and since this is a fan-fiction, I had to fill in the gaps somehow. However, that "padding" is limited to the pre-launch chapters. After the launch, the story will blend the original events with original plotlines.

Regarding the pre-launch updates, I had promised one extra chapter for every forty monthly votes, but I completely forgot about the double monthly vote event. Goodness, the workload has skyrocketed. As for whether I will release five or ten chapters at launch, we shall see—I must ensure the quality remains high.

As for the bonus chapters from the monthly votes, I have tallied them up to three and a half, so I will just round it up to four. These should be posted the day after the initial launch burst.

As for milestone-based bonus chapters... never mind, I am not worthy.

Aside from when the book was being featured, I haven't really asked for stats, leaving it entirely up to your generosity. I don't think it is too much to ask for your support on the first subscription, is it? (Whispering softly)
