Almost without thinking, Chu Xu responded with an angry roar—a declaration of defense over his hard-won prize and a warning to the lurking River Phantom raptors who dared to provoke him!

The raptors barely had time to react before Chu Xu barreled forward like a relentless bowling ball, crashing into the five like a furious strike.
Only the three at the rear managed to dodge in a panic.

Though their sizes were similar, the River Phantom raptors were slender and light, weighing only forty or fifty pounds—no match for Chu Xu’s over three hundred pounds of muscle.

With the weight advantage and doubled strength, Chu Xu’s powerful collision shattered the internal organs of the two raptors, blood seeping through their feathers as they writhed in agony, barely clinging to life.
“Hiss—!!”
Seeing their comrades so effortlessly dispatched, the remaining three raptors, lucky to survive, were terrified out of their wits and fled swiftly.
Had they known this young tyrannosaur was so fierce, not even a hundred braver souls among them would have dared to offend him!

Chu Xu was in full bloodlust. Even after scaring off three of them, he was not about to let the rest escape and gave chase at full speed.
The acceleration skill’s effect had not worn off, and the slowest of the River Phantom raptors was easily caught.
“Roar!!”
Chu Xu’s roar exploded in the raptor’s ears, causing it to stumble dangerously, nearly collapsing.

In the next moment, Chu Xu’s sharp claws swung down fiercely at the raptor’s raised tail.
With a series of tearing sounds, his claws shredded the feathers and tendons of the tail, slicing deeply into its vertebrae and nearly severing it into segments.
The pained raptor lost its balance and fell, only to be mercilessly stomped on the head by Chu Xu.
Under the tremendous force, the two large eyeballs of the raptor popped out, rolling a good distance away.
After this brutal combo, even if the raptor survived, it was crippled beyond hope and would soon perish without a finishing blow.
Chu Xu paid no mind to the half-dead raptor and immediately turned to pursue the other two.

The two remaining River Phantom raptors, a male and a female, seemed to be mates. Facing imminent death, they did not scatter separately.
Knowing escape was impossible, they turned to confront Chu Xu in a desperate fight.
A cornered beast’s struggle is often the most terrifying, but Chu Xu’s eyes gleamed with fierce resolve as he met their charge without fear.
The pair leapt, one on each side, pouncing directly onto Chu Xu.
Among the Dromaeosauridae carnivores, this ambush technique was their signature hunting skill—
They would leap onto the prey’s back, hooking it with their foreclaws, then use the sickle-shaped claws on their hind feet to viciously kick the vulnerable abdomen, brutally ripping open the victim to bleed out and die.
The mate pair clearly intended to use this tactic on Chu Xu, unaware that he had anticipated this move and devised a counter beforehand.

Just as the pair landed on Chu Xu’s back, before they could deliver their devastating hind claw kicks,
Chu Xu took a step backward, leaning forward to use his body’s center of gravity as a fulcrum, employing leverage to lift the pair’s bodies—only holding on by their foreclaws, their hind feet dangling uselessly.

With a mighty swing of his powerful tail, Chu Xu twisted his massive frame sharply, and the pair of raptors let out panicked cries as they were flung off his back, crashing hard to the ground.
This move was adapted from judo’s signature technique—the back-carry throw—disrupting the enemy’s balance and using one’s back as a pivot to toss them away; even with inferior strength, it can turn the tide.
Chu Xu’s strength far surpassed that of the two raptors, making the throw effortless.
The impact left the pair dizzy and disoriented, several ribs broken, unable to rise anytime soon.
“Roar!!”
Chu Xu’s roar erupted again as he clamped his massive jaws onto the male raptor’s slender neck, snapping the cervical vertebrae with a crisp crack.
Compared to the stout, thick-skinned strange lizard, the River Phantom raptors’ necks were fragile, snapping like bamboo.
Having killed the male, the female struggled desperately to stand but was weak and unable.
After witnessing her mate’s grisly demise, she suddenly tilted her head and fainted.
Chu Xu showed no mercy, swiftly biting through her neck as well, sending the pair to their shared grave.
Thus, the five bold River Phantom raptors who dared challenge him were either dead or mortally wounded.
Chu Xu turned back to finish off the stragglers, ensuring none would survive the ordeal.
