Chapter 126: You look so handsome, give me a piggyback ride, please (Please subscribe)
Around 6:20 PM, Yang Qing and his group arrived at the Yangcheng Central Stadium. From a distance, they could see Fang Du waiting at the entrance, with a row of security personnel standing on either side behind him.
"Brother Fang Du!" Little Xi'er chirped happily upon seeing him, the little Buddha charm around her fair neck swaying as she moved.
"Xi'er, Qiu'er, Xiaobai..." Fang Du smiled warmly at the three little ones. He then turned to the two other girls who were running over, holding hands with them. "You must be Niannian and Dudu. You’re so cute."
With that, he handed them a bag. "Inside are glowing cat ears and glow sticks. There’s one for each of you."
"Mmhmm!" The little ones didn't quite understand what a glow stick was, but they knew what cat ears were. They happily accepted the gifts and began putting them on while chirping in their sweet, childish voices.
Fang Du then looked at Yang Qing and the others, saying with a smile, "Brother Qing, Jin'er, Team Leader, you're here. Let's go in; Xiaoming asked me to come and receive you."
"Thank you, sorry for the trouble," Yang Qing said with a smile, gesturing for the chirping little ones to follow.
"Hah, Little Fang, it’s only been a few days and you don't even greet your big sister when you see me?" Li Yuexi teased. Fang Du quickly chuckled and waved at her and Wen Xiaorou.
Wang Ying's debut concert had brought everyone together. Li Yuexi and Wen Xiaorou had taken leave from their filming set to return, and then joined Qin Xue at Yang Qing’s shop. Their concert tickets had been a gift from little Qiu'er, so they had to accompany this generous little one. Well, actually, Li Yuexi had bought her own ticket.
Li Yuexi: (??_??)
Li Wanxiao and Dudu’s mother had also arrived; given Li Wanxiao’s background, getting two last-minute concert tickets was no challenge.
As they walked into the stadium, the little ones let out constant gasps of "Wow," tilting their heads left and right in adorable wonder. The stadium staff looked at them with curiosity, but since Wang Ming had given prior notice and they were being led by Fang Du, who was helping out today, no one said a word.
Bai Zhijun, looking like a bumpkin visiting the big city for the first time, kept rubbing his hands together and whispered to Yang Qing, "Goodness, how is this stadium so big? How many people can fit in here? A diva’s concert really is something else—I’ve learned so much today."
Yang Qing heard this and teased, "Didn't you say you weren't coming? Didn't you say you were going to sneak off to drink with Brother Dazhu and the others?"
Bai Zhijun (→_→): "Don't even start! If you had told me earlier that there were seats, would I have been rushed by the little ones so much that I didn't even have time to change clothes? It's all your fault!"
Yang Qing: "It's fine. Tonight, you're just an inconspicuous member of the audience. It doesn't matter."
Bai Zhijun: "...Go to hell!"
Amidst the laughter, Fang Du led them to the center seats in the front row. Wang Ming came over to greet them and, after helping everyone get settled, said to Yang Qing, "Brother Yang, come with me to the backstage."
"Sure, okay." Yang Qing nodded. He was scheduled to play piano accompaniment for Wang Ying tonight, so he couldn't stay to enjoy the show with Qiu'er and the others.
"Brother, where are you going?" Seeing her brother about to leave with Wang Ming, little Qiu'er reached out to grab his hand.
"Brother is going backstage. I have to play the piano for Sister Wang Ying tonight, so I can't stay with you. You must listen to Sister Jin'er and Sister Qin, and be good—no running around."
"Mmhmm!" Little Qiu'er nodded seriously. Her big eyes rolled, and she added, "Brother, are Sister Ying and Sister Ke'er there too? Can Qiu'er go see them?"
"Hiahia... Xi'er wants to see them too! Xiaobai, too! And Niannian and Dudu!" Little Xi'er chirped with a grin, listing the remaining three little sisters as well.
"Er, this..." Seeing the little ones so excited, Yang Qing hesitated and looked at Wang Ming. "Is it convenient? If so, take them over to see, then bring them back."
"Sure," Wang Ming laughed. "Why wouldn't it be convenient? My sister was just talking to Ke'er about Qiu'er and the others."
"Alright, let's go." Yang Qing smiled and took the small hands of Qiu'er and Xi'er, who in turn grabbed the hands of the other three. They followed Wang Ming toward the backstage area.
In a simple dressing room backstage, Wang Ying and Wang Ke'er were chatting happily while two makeup artists worked on them. Suddenly, a burst of joyful, childish voices drifted in, and the door was pushed open as five little ones flooded in.
"Sister Ying! Sister Ke'er!" The three little ones chirped excitedly in unison, while little Niannian and Dudu looked at the two women with flushed, rosy faces.
"Oh my, the little cuties are here! You’re so adorable, let sister give you a kiss." Wang Ke'er was delighted to see them. It had been a while, and if it weren't for the video calls they had been having daily, she might have forgotten how cute they were.
Wang Ying smiled sweetly at Qiu'er and the others, winking at Niannian and Dudu, who were staring at her intently.
"Sister Ying, you are so beautiful!" Little Qiu'er escaped Wang Ke'er’s lipstick-stained kisses and pulled on Wang Ying’s hand in awe.
Wang Ying smiled down at her. "Qiu'er is very cute, too." Seeing the little girl gazing curiously at the cosmetics on the vanity, she offered, "Qiu'er, how about I put some light makeup on you all to make you even cuter?"
"Whoosh!" Little Qiu'er’s big eyes brightened. Being told she could be "even cuter" struck a chord, and she nodded her head excitedly.
And so, Wang Ying began to apply light makeup to the five little ones, filling the room with happy, childish squeals.
Meanwhile, in the changing room, Yang Qing was looking troubled. "Do I really have to wear this tie? It’s choking me."
"Haha... fine, then let's try a bowtie instead." A moment later, Wang Ming tied a black bowtie for him.
"Ugh... this is uncomfortable too." Yang Qing pulled at his collar and laughed bitterly. "Can we just skip it? I’ve never worn a dress shirt before, let alone something this formal. It feels so unnatural."
Wang Ming looked at his awkwardness and shook his head with a smile. "Brother Yang, you have to get used to it. You’ll be wearing clothes like this more and more often in the future."
"Er..." Yang Qing blinked. "We'll worry about the future later. For now..."
Wang Ming sighed helplessly. "Fine, whatever makes you comfortable. I’m going to get the stylist to fix your hair."
"Oh..." Yang Qing replied. He decided that as long as he didn't have to wear the tie or bowtie, he was just a tool, and they could do whatever they wanted with him.
When the stylist finished and Yang Qing stepped out of the dressing room in his white shirt, tailored black trousers, and black leather shoes, the beauties inside all lit up. And at that exact moment, as Yang Qing wore formal attire for the first time, the Charm Points he had accumulated from the system seemed to fully activate, giving him an indescribable aura.
"You..." Wang Ying stared at him with sparkling eyes for a long moment. Just as she was about to speak, a little figure rushed toward Yang Qing like a gust of wind. The little one grabbed his leg and tried to climb up using both hands and feet.
Yang Qing, somewhat dazed, picked her up and looked at her delicate, makeup-enhanced face. "Xi'er, what are you doing?"
"Hiahia... Brother Qing, you look so pretty!"
Yang Qing was speechless, a black line forming on his forehead.
"Haha, Xi'er, that’s 'handsome,' not 'pretty,'" Wang Ke'er laughed.
"Mmhmm!" Little Xi'er nodded vigorously. She looked at Yang Qing again and said, "Brother Qing, you’re so handsome! Give Xi'er a piggyback ride!"
Yang Qing was baffled. *Why does me being handsome mean I have to give you a piggyback ride?!*
"Piggyback ride! Me too! Handsome big horse, giddyap!" Xiaobai jumped over, shouting. Then little Qiu'er looked at him with bright eyes, and little Niannian had already grabbed his pant leg, looking up at him with full anticipation.
Only little Dudu opened her mouth wide, and after a moment, she clearly articulated five words:
"Brother, ride big horse!"
