After bidding farewell to Gu Mingyue and the other children, Gu Mingxi returned to the courtyard, only to discover that Gu Moyuan had come back.

She happily trotted over to him and asked, “Father, when did you return?”

Looking at his lively little daughter, Gu Moyuan smiled and ruffled her hair. “Father has been back for two days. When I returned, I discovered that my precious daughter could already undertake missions and venture out to gain experience...”

Before he could finish speaking, Gu Moyuan noticed Gu Mingxi’s cultivation level. He frowned and began examining her body. Gu Mingxi understood that her cultivation had increased far too quickly. Even if she explained everything to him, he would still worry, so she obediently relaxed the restraints on her body and allowed Gu Moyuan to inspect her thoroughly.

After examining her for a while, Gu Moyuan found that there was nothing wrong with her body and that her cultivation was extremely solid. He looked at her in puzzlement.

Gu Mingxi gave a sheepish laugh and began telling him about the two times she had entered a state of sudden enlightenment.

“Father, I...”

As he listened, Gu Moyuan repeatedly looked at her in astonishment. He had never imagined that his precious daughter’s talent could be so extraordinary. Other people might spend their entire lives seeking even one moment of sudden enlightenment, yet his daughter had experienced it twice in succession. Her talent was truly monstrous!

Overjoyed, Gu Moyuan said to her, “Xi Xi, I originally thought your talent was already extraordinary enough. I never expected your comprehension to be so astonishing as well. I have never heard of anyone achieving sudden enlightenment twice in a row. You have certainly broadened my horizons.”

Hearing his praise, Gu Mingxi smiled proudly. “Hehe, Father, your daughter is a genius!”

“I’m going to become a once-in-a-thousand-years genius!”

Gu Moyuan rose to his feet and declared in a resonant voice, “Good! Since my daughter has such ambition, your father will naturally help you achieve it!”

In his excitement, Gu Moyuan wanted to stuff all kinds of resources into her hands. But just as he was about to reach into his spatial ring to retrieve them, he remembered that the jade pendant passed down through the family had already been bound to his daughter. It contained an abundance of resources, so there was no need for him to give her anything more.

In the end, all Gu Moyuan could do was stuff Gu Mingxi with spirit stones. Top-grade spirit stones and supreme-grade spirit stones came in huge piles, pouring into her spatial storage as though they cost nothing.

Caught completely off guard, Gu Mingxi was struck senseless by the sheer weight of her father’s love.

After Gu Moyuan left, Gu Mingxi entered her space in a daze. The moment she saw the mountain of spirit stones before her, she let out a sudden scream and threw herself onto the pile.

(Imagine how you would feel if your parents suddenly brought out a hundred million in cash and handed it to you.)

In her previous life, Gu Mingxi had been nothing more than an ordinary wage earner. She had never seen so much money in her life, so please forgive her brief loss of composure.

Her scream frightened Little Flower and Little White. They hurried over, afraid that something had happened, only to discover Gu Mingxi grinning foolishly at the mountain of spirit stones. They were speechless.

At the same time, Little Flower and Little White both had the same thought:

What should they do? Their master suddenly seemed rather unreliable.

When Gu Mingxi sensed their arrival, she quickly restrained her excitement.

With a solemn expression, she said to Little White, “Little White, take these supreme-grade spirit stones and place them around your egg. They can provide you with a richer supply of spiritual energy.”

As she spoke, she divided out some supreme-grade spirit stones from the pile and handed them to Little White.

Then she said to Little Flower, “Little Flower, take these spirit stones and bury them beneath the medicinal fields and the orchard. That will provide them with more abundant spiritual energy and accelerate their growth.”

Looking at Gu Mingxi’s solemn expression, Little Flower and Little White felt somewhat dazed. Had the scene they had witnessed just now been nothing more than a dream?

Gu Mingxi watched as Little Flower and Little White obediently carried away the spirit stones. Only after making sure they could no longer see her did she let out a sigh of relief.

It seemed that her image had been preserved.

When she turned back toward the spirit stones, Gu Mingxi’s expression had already returned to normal. With perfect composure, she began cultivating.

The following day

After asking the administrator of the Formation Institute, Gu Mingxi learned that a new round of formation lessons would begin the next day.

For once, she had some free time. Sitting in the courtyard, Gu Mingxi thought for a while before sending Gu Mingyue a communication talisman to ask whether she was available that day.

Gu Mingyue responded very quickly, informing her that she had some free time.

Thus, the two sisters arranged to meet again. This time, however, they were not going shopping. They were going out to eat.

On the way to the Spiritual Cuisine Pavilion, Gu Mingyue took Gu Mingxi by the hand and said eagerly, “I heard that all the dishes at the Spiritual Cuisine Pavilion are prepared by spiritual chefs. I’ve never eaten food made by a spiritual chef before!”

Do not misunderstand—spiritual chefs were extremely rare. Although the Gu family had cultivated some of its own, it was impossible for those spiritual chefs to spend all their time cooking for the Gu family.

Using spiritual chefs as ordinary cooks? No, that had never happened before. Even the spiritual chefs at the Spiritual Cuisine Pavilion were not chefs in the traditional sense. They came there to prepare dishes because doing so allowed them to cultivate more effectively.

As soon as Gu Mingxi and Gu Mingyue entered the Spiritual Cuisine Pavilion, a young attendant came over to greet them.

“May I ask where the two of you would like to sit?”

Gu Mingxi glanced around the hall and noticed that it was not particularly private. She therefore said to the attendant, “A private room for two, please.”

“All right! Please follow me to the second floor. I’ll show you to a private room.”

Once they reached the private room, the attendant served them tea and handed them the menu. Only then did he ask, “Please take a look and see what you would like to order.”

Gu Mingxi casually flipped through the menu before handing it to Gu Mingyue. She then asked the attendant, “Do you have any recommendations?”

The attendant smiled and replied, “This morning, our Spiritual Cuisine Pavilion acquired a wild boar. The two of you could try some dishes made with its meat.”

Gu Mingxi nodded. “Then bring us several dishes prepared with that wild boar meat.”

She then turned to Gu Mingyue. “What about you, Mingyue? What would you like to order?”

Gu Mingyue set down the menu and said to the attendant, “Bring us some of your restaurant’s signature dishes.”

“All right! Please wait a moment.”

While waiting for the food, Gu Mingxi walked around the private room. She discovered that it was equipped with a soundproofing formation, which immediately caught her interest. However, since she had not yet begun studying formations, she could not discern how it worked.
